How to work with our websitePlaced on the web: 2002-02-01 The website of the Thomas Instituut Utrecht contains a frontpage and six categories. Each of the six categories has a more or less hierarchical structure. The site is set up in such a way that from each page you can jump to the top of each of the other categories. Or you can jump back to the frontpage by clicking on the logo.
Frontpage
You have access to the top of each of the six categories by clicking on one of the six buttons on the left side of your screen. You have access to the first category News by clicking on one of the headlines on the cover of the frontpage as well. By clicking here you enter News at the news item you have selected.
The bottom of the frontpage contains five buttons. The first button brings you to this introduction, the second brings you to a biography of Thomas Aquinas by H. Rikhof. Under the third button you will find the mail-address, as well as the email-address and the telephone number of the Thomas Instituut. The fourth button will bring you to the institute´s bookshop which is also part of the category Institute. Behind the fifth button you will find an agenda with upcoming events.
The categories
News contains articles about the institute, interviews with scholars from all over the world who study Aquinas and articles about Aquinas and other items of interest within the field of research on Aquinas.
Forumpage is a platform for questions, remarks, answers and discussion.
The Institute contains the more static information about the Thomas Instituut. It offers information about its members, organisation etc. It describes the research programs and projects conducted at the institute. The bottom of the page Research contains five buttons which will bring you to the programs located at the institutes which cooperate with the Thomas Instituut.
Here you will also find the Bookstore where you can order the Series of Publications, the yearbooks and some other publications by members of the institute.
Opera Omnia contains a searchable list of all the works by Thomas Aquinas, with information about editions, translations etc.
Tools contains an introduction in doing research on Thomas Aquinas, as well as a number of lists of editions, and translations of works by Aquinas. It also offers lists of thematical publications, biographies, bibliographies, etc.
Links: Here you will find an extensive list of links to interesting sites devoted to Aquinas and his thought in a broad sense. The links have been regrouped under five categories: institutes, dictionaries, texts, articles and addresses. You can access these links by clicking on the appropriate buttons at the bottom of the page.
